What the Frick? Pt.1
When I was just a youngling I was told cussing was a bad thing. So I didn’t cuss. I came up with words for cussing as did others. Frick, shoot, dang, heck. One I have heard recently from good Christian kids is “what the F?” So what’s really the difference with actually saying the word and substituting a code word. I hear Christians do it all the time…..what’s the point really. Shouldn’t you just say the actual word or would that be wrong?

Our family calls these “quasi” swear words … and honestly, we’re not even sure it’s such a good idea to have those in our vocabulary, either. I guess I take the thinking the opposite direction than you did in this post …. rather than “just go ahead and say the actual word”, I tend to think more along the lines that if you’re going to keep your speech clean and you’re not going to swear, then don’t even quasi-swear … or whatever. lol
